This is an introduction to a blog post about Indonesia's national curriculum for social science. The blog will contain descriptions and explanations of the subject matter and why it's important to teach these topics in schools. The post also explains how this course material is integrated into the elementary school curriculum. The next couple of posts will cover the specific content found in books 1-3, respectively, of ppt pkn kelas xi bab 3. Indonesia's national curriculum for social sciences hasn't change for decades and was not effective or relevant enough to deal with today’s modern society; thus I created a new one that was more suited to the 21st century society while still retaining information on basic Indonesian history and cultural heritage. My curriculum for social science has the same structure as the old curriculum, but it is much more comprehensive. It starts off by introducing students to the knowledge of their environment by showing them how their immediate surroundings are affected by different natural phenomena, like earthquakes or volcanic eruptions. The national curriculum then continues into their history, starting off with Indonesia’s prehistoric era and moving forward into pre-colonial era. After talking about Java, Kalimantan, Sumatera, Bali and other subject matter related to Indonesian island geography; students will be introduced to the concept of globalization and will learn about each other parts of Indonesia while learning about foreign countries at the same time. The next section will discuss the importance of being a good person to society. It will teach students that money is not the only important thing in this world and it's much more productive and fulfilling to help communities and make friends wherever you go and try and make a difference in people’s lives. The students will be taught how to be active members in their communities by joining recreational activities, helping people in need, volunteering, becoming an environmentalist and volunteering for other government programs like "one village one product" (1po1). The last section which will cover all of K-12 (kindergarten through grade 12) social studies curriculum; it will teach students about the international community. This section will introduce students to the operations of the United Nations which is an international organization that helps countries work together. The curriculum then delves into specific subjects like geography, history, economy and other related topics. There are six major themes that are covered in Indonesia Study Program books 1-3:
The following is a description of all of the sub-topics found in this book along with a short description about why they are important to teach in schools.
At the beginning of each chapter there is a list of points needed to be learned about each sub-topic. This is so at the end of the semester students can take an exam on what they have learned during that specific course material. While the Indonesian national curriculum for social studies has not changed for decades, there are still areas that need improvement or update. The following are some of the recommendations to make the Indonesian national curriculum more effective and relevant for today's modern society. The Indonesian government needs to update how it teaches history. They do not teach students about the negative effects of the Dutch colonial rule on Indonesia's pre-independence history that lasted from 1849 to 1947. They also lack teaching about Indonesia's independence that occurred in August 1945 after defeating Japan in World War II. Students are only taught how Dewan Cadang Lalang was formed with Dr.
